Negative Ion Generator Circuit(负离子发生器设计,英文)
Negative Ion Generator CircuitPostedFigure 1
The design of the circuit is aimed to produce a device that would remove microscopic particles from the air instead of using fans and filters, by generating negative ions or ionizing the air. [*]Ion – an atom or a group of atoms that bears a positive or negative electric charge by gaining or losing one or more electrons[*]Air Ionizer – also known as negative ion generator, is a device that is designed to purify the air by using high voltage to electrically charge air molecules
It has been proven in medical field that the gathering of negative ions in the atmosphere by the human body would be beneficial which is in contrary with the accumulation of positive ions. The main cause of several pathological abnormalities in the body’s organism is the lack of negative ions. Negative ions (anions) are particles with one or more extra electrons while positive ions (cations) are particles with missing one or more electrons. Negative ions are used by most commercial air purifiers.
The air ionizer can purify the air that could leave a room healthy especially for those suffering from allergies, respiratory ailments, asthma, or impaired immunity, without as many allergens flowing in the lungs. It can clean the ambiance of a room from industrial pollution, cigarette’s tobacco, dust, and others. It relies on the chemical properties of particles and uses an ion to interact with the particles. When used in a room, these ions are spread throughout the room to seek particles that are positively charged like the pollen, smoke, chemical vapors, bacteria, dander, dust, mold, and other allergens. These negative ions are attractive to the positive particles making them heavy to float where they can be easily inhaled. The result is a larger piece of dirt on the ground, from the originally harmful airborne particles, which can be normally cleaned by any means. Positively charged particles are mostly found near the ground.
Negative ions and ozone can be generated in another way like the natural phenomenon such as lightning or waterfalls. It also pertains to the fresh smell that is encountered in white rapids or in an electrical storm. The ozone is referred to the naturally occurring gas that is related to oxygen. Although outdoor pollutants are getting a lot of attention, the indoor air pollution is still considered as a serious problem. Inside the heating and air conditioning ducts is where mold and dust were being gathered. The increase in bacteria is possible by the presence of high humidity inside the ducts. The sources of odor and pollution in homes and offices are the main concerns of an air ionizer. When negative ions are generated, the ozone is created as well. It counters the pollution by breaking it down into smaller, harmless elements. The ozone deodorizes the germs, making it difficult for the germs to multiply and grow.
Unlike amplifiers that are fan-driven, air ionizers run silently and conserve power. Also, since there are no physical filters, there are no parts that need regular replacement. This is one of the advantages over the other purifiers. A faint breeze is being created by ionization which helps distribute the ions throughout room, even though most air ionizers don’t have a motorized fan. The particles of dust can be captured as they fall to the ground by some designs with outfitted screen or prongs.
In the circuit, the production of negative ions can also be referred as the multiplier of voltage. The input AC around 230 V is being rectified into DC which is multiplied in a positive 6500 V through the R1 to R3. The contacts A, B, C, D, & E are made of lead that produces steel spikes. The end of spikes holds the high voltage with the creation of negative ions continuously flowing and with a very light blue radiation at the end for this phenomenon. Higher voltage does not create a problem of electrocution due to the small current. The circuit requires an efficient insulation once the circuit is manufactured and tried. In some tally point, the circuit can be placed to provide continuous operation with the existence of a small fan which creates current of air.
The theory of this circuit can be employed in several useful applications like the Ion Sniffer that detects air ion; the Natural Air Purifier that produces negative ions and safe levels of ozone for odor elimination; the Green Air which purifies UV air; the Refrigerator Sanitizer that reduces food spoilage by eliminating moldy bread, fruit, and cheese; the Car Ionizer that freshens and cleans the air in cars and trucks; the Bathroom Air Freshener that is found not only in bathrooms but also in closets, storerooms, pantries, pet dens, and other small places; the Personal Wearable Ionizing Air Purifier that is lightweight and battery powered; the Intelli-Pro which is a six-stage air purifier with dual air pollution sensors; the Air Oasis that kills airborne germs, mold and fungus; the Combination Ionizer that helps reduce second hand smoke; the Air probe Sanitizer the prevents growth of molds in AC coil; and the Negative Ion Generators for home and office use that is ozone free.
In some medical hospitals or centers, the use of ionizers has been accepted by doctors since previous showed that these devices can produce only neutral to positive reports when undertaken by patients suffering from allergies and respiratory problems. Negative ion generators can also be included in refrigerator, toothbrushes washing machines, air cleaners, and air conditioners.
